Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 30, 2026
travelU ("we", "us", "our") is a travel-booking platform operated by Simplicity. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect when you use our website and apps, why we collect it, and the choices you have over it.
By using travelU you agree to the practices described here. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
1. Information we collect
We collect information you give us, information created as you use the service, and information from a small number of trusted third parties:
- Account details — your name, email address, phone number, and the language and currency you prefer.
- Booking details — travellers' names, dates, destinations, and any preferences needed to fulfil a reservation for stays, experiences, attractions, transfers, insurance, or eSIMs.
- Payment information — card and billing data is collected and processed by our payment providers; we do not store full card numbers on our own systems.
- Usage and device data — pages viewed, searches run, approximate location, IP address, browser, and device type, gathered through cookies and similar technologies.
- Communications — messages you send to our support team and your responses to service emails.
2. How we use your information
We use your information to:
- Create and manage your account and process the bookings you make.
- Send confirmations, tickets, vouchers, and service updates about your trip.
- Provide customer support and respond to your requests.
- Personalise search results, recommendations, and content.
- Detect, prevent, and investigate fraud, abuse, and security incidents.
- Meet our legal, tax, and regulatory obligations.
3. How we share your information
We are an intermediary that arranges travel products supplied by others, so some sharing is essential to deliver what you book. We share information with:
- Travel suppliers — hotels and accommodation partners, experience operators, insurers, transfer providers, and connectivity partners — strictly to fulfil your reservation.
- Service providers — payment processors, hosting, analytics, communications, and fraud-prevention vendors who act on our instructions.
- Authorities and advisers — where required by law, to enforce our terms, or to protect the rights and safety of our users.
4. Cookies and analytics
We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember your preferences, measure how the service is used, and improve it. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling some cookies may limit parts of the service.
5. International transfers
Travel is global, and so are our suppliers. Your information may be processed in countries other than your own, including countries whose data-protection laws differ from yours. Where we transfer personal data internationally, we use appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.
6. Data retention
We keep your information for as long as your account is active and for as long afterwards as we need it to provide the service, comply with legal and tax obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. When it is no longer needed, we delete or anonymise it.
7. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you and request a copy.
- Correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete.
- Ask us to delete your information, subject to legal limits.
- Object to or restrict certain processing, and withdraw consent where we rely on it.
- Request portability of information you provided to us.
8. Security
We use technical and organisational measures designed to protect your information, including encryption in transit and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your data and to notify you and the authorities of incidents where the law requires it.
9. Children
The service is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. Bookings that include minors must be made by an adult responsible for them.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes we will update the date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app or by email. Continued use of the service after an update means you accept the revised policy.
11. Contact us
If you have any questions about this policy or about how we handle your information, contact our support team at support@onesimplicity.com. We read every message and aim to respond quickly.
